Rapper Mystikal released from prison

Mystikal

New Orleans rapper Mystikal was released from prison Thursday after serving a six-year prison sentence for sexual assault and battery.  Born Michael Lawrence Tyler, the rapper was accused of forcing his hair stylist (who he believed stole $80,000 in checks from him) to perform sexual acts while his two bodyguards videotaped it.

Known for chart-topping hits in 2000 and 2001 such as “Shake It Fast” and “Danger (Been So Long),” Mystikal conducted a phone interview with New Orleans’ radio station Q93 FM soon after his release.

“I’m back! I’m still tryin’ to feel this reality. It still almost feels like a dream,” he said. “Six years off the scene, for most rappers it’d be over with. Man, it’s gon’ be the beginning for me and I’m finna get my reparations.”

Underpaid minorities picking your vegetables, now that’s fine for you right? Please, fight for their rights. How about the poverty in the communities of brown people around the world. She had the nerve to say (and I quote) “get over it” talking of the issue of black people and slavery in this country verses cows being slaughtered. Is she kidding me? Lol yes she must be. Actually, she’s lucky most black people have real issues to worry about in the U.S and don’t give a crap what her delusional privileged opinions are. But she should try saying that again just for kicks n giggles on the corner of Adam Clayton Powell Blvd in Harlem n see how well people “get over it” lol.

“It will be the hardest thing in the world for me to make myself not do an album and shoot a video and turn it in and say, ‘I’m ready!’ I already have all these melodies and ideas in my head. I have to tell myself, ‘Sit down! Sit down!’ “
