Erykah Badu charged over ‘Window Seat’ video

Erykah Badu was charged with disorderly conduct for filming her “Window Seat” video, where she removes her clothing while walking in downtown Dallas.  She eventually is nude in front of Dealey Plaza where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated.  The charge is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $500.  Check an earlier Suite 411 post of the video here.
 
Badu appeared on The Wanda Sykes Show this weekend and discussed the video.  Check out Sykes hilarious parody named “Middle Seat” around the 3:36 mark.

Erykah Badu performed James Taylor’s song “You’ve Got a Friend” live during half-time at the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk contest Saturday night.
 
The singer tweeted @fatbellybella about the experience and suggested she is related to Jamie Foxx. The two headlined a concert later that night.

Erykah Badu Tweets Third Child’s Birth

Erykah Badu announced through the Twitter website the birth of her third child Monday, Feb. 2.  Her and boyfriend rapper Jay Electronica sent constant messages throughout the delivery, MTV reports.  Badu had a home birth with a midwife in her Brooklyn, NY home.

Badu’s daughter Puma, 7, with rapper D.O.C., and Seven, 10, her son with Andre 3000, were also present at the birth.  After the birth, Badu sent another message to her fans.

“I can’t believe it’s over,” she wrote. “Home birth, no painkillers, about five hours, she was a little past due date, but I didn’t mind waiting. Breath.”
