Get a cookie with President Barack Obama’s image on the bag: the “Obama Biscuit.”
The United Biscuit Ltd., the Ghana – based maker of the cookie, generates 2.8 million biscuits a day during peak production, which accounts for about 60% of the factory’s output. The round cookie stamped with the company’s logo comes in regular, ginger flavor and the latest, ChocObama. Its package bears an image of Obama, and can be found in small roadside shops across Ghana, Africa.
First Lady Michelle Obama and her daughters Sasha and Malia went to the L.A. Lakers game Thursday night. The girls wanted to get their dad a jersey as a gift for Father’s Day. So AEG president Tim Leiweke — whose suite they were sitting in– had the gift shop make a customized Obama jersey. Lakers Coach Phil Jackson (and former coach of Obama’s hometown team, the Chicago Bulls) signed the jersey after the game.
First Lady Michelle Obama recently talked to local elementary students at the White House during Take Our Daughters to Work Day. She answered questions from the children about being First Lady, Chicago and her favorite music.
First Lady Michelle Obama loves the kids and they love her right back. She was honored with the Big Help Award Saturday at the Nickelodeon’s Kid Choice Awards. Obama was acknowledged for her efforts to combat obesity through the Let’s Move campaign, which Nickelodeon donated $3 million.

While introducing Connick and his band, she stressed the importance of community service.
“These guys aren’t just playing music and earning money and performing, but they’re community leaders, too,” Obama said. “And that’s really important for you guys, too, because it’s not just if you can sing and dance, but what do you give back?”

The First Family arrived in Oahu, Hawaii Thursday for a Christmas vacation. President Barack Obama was born and mainly raised in the state. The family will spend more than a week at the same oceanfront vacation home that was rented the previous year.
