Haitian-born Wyclef Jean is calling for international help for the survivors of a 7.0 magnitude quake Tuesday night centered 10 miles from the nation’s capital,Port-au-Prince.
“The over 2 million people in Port-au-Prince tonight face catastrophe alone,” said Jean, 40. “We must act now. “I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, and idle hands will only make this tragedy worse.”
Jean encourages people to help by donating to his Yele Haiti Foundation, either by texting “Yele” to 501501, which will automatically donate $5, or by going to the yele.org.
I knew Wyclef would assist his home country. He has always done stuff for the needy and this includes his own people. It is really sad and I will keep all them in my prayers.
Keeping Haiti in our prayers!!!
I look to the Suite 411 to get up to the minute info on what’s happening in our world. Thanks, Allison!
God Bless Wyclef!
I DONATED.
