Jada Pinkett Smith keeps the romance alive in her marriage

Jada Pinkett Smith, star of the new TNT series, “Hawthorne,” told Redbook magazine how she maintains the fire in her 11-year marriage to Will Smith.  

“[Go for] a drive – and then pull over on the side of the road!” she said.  “Think of places outside that are comfortable to have sex. Does he have access to his office? Have a fantasy date. Be his secretary!” 

“Be sneaky,” Smith adds. “Your girlfriend’s house at a party. The bathroom! A guest bedroom! Just switch it up. Anything like that can keep it going. Anything it takes to keep the flame alive.”

Sherri Shepherd gets caught tweeting about cheating on diet

Sherri Shepherd is in trouble with her nutritional coach and trainer.  While getting in shape to pose in a bathing suit on The View Aug. 6, she mentioned on the social networking site, Twitter, that she cheated on her diet by eating fried calamari and buffalo wings.  Unfortunately, her exercise team saw the message, reports People.com.

“Ain’t this a blip! I was planning on fibbing 2 my trainer & nutritional coach about what I ate this weekend – but they follow me,” she tweeted later that day. 

 “You just assume when you tweet that you’re tweeting to people far away, not the person – your neighbor across the hall,” Shepherd said on The View. “I wish my coach would have not tweeted because she’s coming here tomorrow to get on me about what I ate.” 

‘Family Matters’ star welcomes baby boy

Jaimee Foxworth, former child star of TV series, “Family Matters,” delivered a 6 lbs., 11 oz. baby boy Friday. Foxworth and her boyfriend Michael Shaw welcomed their son Michael Douglas Shaw Jr., who was 10 days overdue, reports People.

After being written off the popular show, Foxworth,29, became a porn star and struggled with drug addiction. She recently starred in the VH1 reality series, “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.”

“This is the best day of my life,” Foxworth said. “I am so excited to be a mother and I also look forward to getting back to work.” 

She will appear in an episode of the TV One reality series, “Life After,” which will air in August.

Dr. Dre introduces some of the music from his long awaited “Detox” album in a new Dr. Pepper commercial, which begins airing Monday, June 1.

Wanda Sykes is a new mom

On April 27, comedian Wanda Sykes welcomed twin babies, reports People.  Her wife, Alex gave birth to daughter Olivia Lou weighed (6 lbs., 7 oz. and 19-inches long)  and son Lucas Claude (7 lbs., 9 oz., and 20-inches long).

The couple were married last October.  Sykes currently stars in the CBS comedy, “The New Adventures of Old Christine.”

Prince says no to Guitar Hero

Prince said recently on the PBS series, “Tavis Smiley,” that he turned down a million-dollar deal with the makers of the popular video game,”Guitar Hero,” to feature his music.

“I just think that it is more important that kids learn how to actually play guitar,” Prince said about his decision.

Prince also discussed how music helped him during his childhood.

BET and VH1 to launch new network

The VH1 Soul and BETJ cable networks will use its resources to create the Centric network in October, reports Billboard.  The new network will compete with Comcast/Radio One-owned TV One in targeting the 25-to 54-year-old African-American audience, while reaching out to other multicultural viewers

VH1 Soul and BETJ will continue as individual networks.  Centric will offer original programming such as “Monica: Still Standing,” a reality show starring R&B singer Monica.  Comedian Mo’Nique will also have her own nightly talk and variety show.  The “Soul Train Music Awards” will also be reinstated.

Mike Tyson is a reluctant reality series junkie

Mike Tyson said his girlfriend has turned him into a reluctant reality series junkie.  He frequently watches “For the Love of Ray J,” “Candy Girls,” “Tough Love,” and all the “Real Housewives” series.

“She got me watching “Dancing with the Stars” and said, ‘You should be on “Dancing With the Stars,” ‘ ” Tyson told MTV News. The boxer, who is the subject of the new documentary “Tyson” (in theaters Friday), was not exactly receptive to the idea. “I’m living with this woman, and I’m saying, ‘Are you sick?’ ”

Despite his girlfriend’s best efforts, Tyson said he has no plans to star in his own reality show.

“She said, ‘Hon, listen. I know some people, and I think it would be a good idea if you’re a producer and you control everything that happened and you have your own reality show,’ ” Tyson recalled. “I said, ‘Are you crazy?’ “
