It’s official. After five years of marriage, Nas and Kelis are now divorced. According to TMZ, the marriage ended last Friday in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Currently, Nas was ordered to pay $10,000 monthly in child and spousal support. The two are expected back in court for child and spousal support claims.

Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, star of NYPD Blue and The Jamie Foxx Show, sent an e-mail to her husband, agent Mike Nilon’s co-workers at Creative Artists Agency. According to the New York Post, she accused Nilon of cheating in the missive with the subject line “Tiger Woods/Jesse James/Mike Nilon.” The 43-year-old actress wrote: “What do they have in common … I found out today that MY husband of almost 9 yrs has been having an affair for 5 yrs with some slut in Chicago. I am devastated!!!! And I have been duped!! Our boys don’t deserve this!”
The actress later released the following statement: “My focus at this time is on my kids and healing the pain. There will be no further comment.”
The couple have two 2-year-old twin boys Jax and Jaid. The actress also has a teenage son from a previous marriage.
There’s one more single lady in the Knowles family. Tina Knowles, singer Beyonce’s mother, recently filed for divorce from the performer’s father and manager Matthew Knowles. The couple was wed in 1980 and also has a 23-year-old daughter Solange who is also a performer.
“The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one,” the couple said in a statement provided to The Associated Press. “We remain friends, parents, and business partners. If anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter.”
A month ago Los Angeles resident, Alexsandra Wright filed a paternity suit against Matthew Knowles claiming he is the father of her unborn child.
In a recent video blog post, singer Chris Brown states that he “ain’t a monster” and thanks his supporters. Brown faces felony assault and criminal threat charges after allegedly beating up his girlfriend Rihanna in March.
The 20-year-old is working on a new album,”Graffiti,” which should be released late summer.
